PROJECT HOPE

We are really very excited to announce the launch of PROJECT HOPE. This will be the name for our expansion project for Casa Hogar Sagrada Familia and we are out of dormitory space!! We have a three stage plan to expand and better utilize our property. First, after building an urgently needed retaining wall to keep the existing structure in place, we will build the first floor of a new dorm building. Read about it here at PROJECT HOPE.

Tejanos Depart

Of course the great week had to come to an end. I think everybody was in good spirits and no one went home with anything more than a few tired muscles. Thank you, Lord, for the love and commitment of the St. Matthew´s congregation to this work. Thanks must be given, too, to St. Paul´s, Dallas, and Holy Nativity, Plano, for their participation in the fund raising efforts for the new church. Adios, hermanos en Cristo. ¡Hasta la próxima!

Padre Tony

Well, the Lord meets all sorts of needs. Padre Tony, a devotee of older volkswagens, had an opportunity to ride in a really spiffy one driven by Ricardo, the director of Faraday School where Margot attends pre-university classes. Poor Ricardo nearly had his vehicle impounded when Padre was acting silly as they passed a police unit which pulled them over! Fortunately, the clerical collars helped save the bug!

You Go Girl

Naty, a faithful servant of the Lord shows us how the Peruvian women really lay the foundation for the family-literally. A Quechua speaker, Naty, or Natividad, if you use her whole name, is eager to have a chance to share the Gospel with the people around Santiago Apóstol.

Team Extraordinaire!

What a group! Their commitment has been super! Don't be deceived, the gound is sandy-ON TOP! All the trench seem to be almost pure rock.

Los Machones

Bending, tying and standing the rebar for the pillars took a good bit of time, but finally the team was able to get three pillars ready for cementing. Great job, guys!
