¡ÉXITO! SUCCESS!

At our seminary ceremony three students were recognized- Nestor and Zoila completed the four year course of studies to officially "graduate" from seminary and Luis completed the 2 year course to be a candidate for certification as an offical "lay minister." We all were so excited that the Rev. Allen Hill, founder of the seminary was able to come up and preach. Padre Ron celebrated and the Rev. María Andia (one of the earlier Arequipa graduates) served a deacon for the Eucharist.

Year Wrap-Up

As 2007 began to wind down the seminary year reached its apex with the the Clausura y Graduación (closing ceremony and graduation). In the second week of Advent three of our students achieved outstanding goals.

Parrila

We are almost done with trips to put the final touches on the Casas' van. Now we have a "parrilla" or grill on the top. Today we get the leatherette seat cushion covers installed that can be wiped down when the get dirty. Well, we'll do that AFTER I call a tow truck to pull the van off the parking pad at the house! It slipped off the temporary bricks we have placed to support the front tires. When that is done, THEN we can go get the seat covers. "In ALL things give thanks!" I'm trying, Lord!
