Padre Marvin to Return! Hooray!

Fr. Hill has okayed Padre Marvin returning to teach in the seminary in Arequipa in 2011. He is the ONLY TEACHER at this time. (And, I might add, a great one!) He has picked up a couple of former Roman seminarians who are exploring Anglicanism. Victor and Richard took classes under him this year along with our other seminarians. He will teach courses in New Testament, the Synoptics, BCP and Eucharist, and Anglicanism. Remember that the majority of Anglicans in Peru are first generation so less than a handful have been raised in the Anglican Church. That means they bring a lot of background from other traditions into the Church. While much of that diversity is a blessing, it can make it difficult to spot the distinctively Anglican characteristics of the Church in Peru. Thus, Fr. Marvin's courses on Anglicanism are REALLY essential to our potential clergy staying on track! Please pray for Fr. Marvin and these courses.
